Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of mans desire to understand.” Neil Armstrong

I believe an artwork should never reveal all to the viewer, some things should be left unsaid. This gives the viewer the opportunity to be active; the chance to think for themselves and later contemplate what they experienced.

My ideas come to me mysteriously through observing the world around me; they come to me at random situations. I choose what medium is appropriate in order to express the idea; performance, video, drawing, photography, and /or installation. The pieces are action based; revealing the process is as important as the product or object created.

The work is thought provoking but encourages the viewers to consider the absurdity of life. Laughter is a powerful vehicle when understanding a work of art. Through humor the viewer will ease into the underlying subtexts which can communicate serious issues.

Art work from the 60’s and 70’s has been a strong influence on my exploration as an artist, but the impact of popular culture is also relevant. Because the work evolves from everyday experiences and modern day existence; I hope that my art will serve as a reflection and later you will be reminded of the work.
